About Us
The Hokkaido Jinkai was established in November of 1972 by its founding president Reverend Taiken Akiyama.
In 2013 our organization applied for a new Non profit organization status and we are now the Hokkaido Club Hawaii NPO.
Our members
Most of our members our from Hokkaido, but if you have lived there, or just simply love Hokkaido and would like to participate in our events are welcome to join.
Events
At the Hokkaido Club Hawaii, we gather for our annual Jingisukan BBQ, have Christmas party, new years party, and many more events throughout the year.
Mission statement
- To promote international relations with the prefecture of Hokkaido, and Hawaii.
- Community support for our members who have moved to Hawaii from Hokkaido.
- Educational programs for students of all ages, and non-profit organizations.
- Promote our sister state relations with Hokkaido and Hawaii (established in 2017)
